When you are laying the parquet floor tiles a 1/2" gap sufficient for a tight fit of cork expansion strip should be left around the perimeter of the room, along the skirting. then place the expansion srtip into position ensuring a tight fit. alternatively, leave a gap and cover with a quadrant moulding.
