Exceptionally designed, the Siemens Gigaset SL 565 digital telephone is packed with features. As soon as you connect it, the Gigaset is ready to use. Its 65k colour resolution screen has a choice of wallpapers, while the keypad is illuminated. There’s a wide choice of ring tones – you can even personalise the SL 565 for particular callers – and a big name and number directory. And not only can you enjoy hands-free speaking, with Voice dialling all you need to do is say a name and it’ll start dialling. What makes the Siemens Gigaset phone is its SMS functionality. You can send and receive text messages and emails. It’s also got Bluetooth connectivity: you can transfer your directory entries of your PC’s Microsoft Outlook into your phone; even download polyphonic ring tones and screensavers. The integrated answering machine can record up to 35 minutes’ worth of messages. It’s preloaded with a message but you can easily create your own – up to 170 seconds long. Siemens ECO ECT phones reduce the power consumption and transmission power of DECT phones. Thanks to an energy-saving power supply they use up to 60% less energy, compared to conventional cordless phones. And transmitting power can be reduced - practically to nil - the closer you have the handset to the base station.
